Challenge Response: The New Word Challenge

Mouldering

Verb: Slowly decay or disintegrate, esp. because of neglect: “the smell of mouldering books”.

Juliana turned her nose away from the body lying on the floor. The stench of the mouldering corpse invaded her nostrils, forcing her to acknowledge its presence. She wished that she could just ignore it. It was hard to believe that she had last seen Elsa alive and well, not four days before. Cyrus came up behind her, resting his hands on her shoulders. “I’m so sorry, Julesie.”

She leaned back, against his chest. “I guess our work isn’t over.”

“It never is.”

There we go, guys! My response to yesterday’s challenge… I didn’t really use an unknown word, but an uncommon word. I don’t suppose that you have anything for me?

Up tomorrow… A book review! I just finished Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James, so a review (via Goodreads) will be going up!

Until then,

Eva
