O is for Organic

“Writing is organic.” The teacher’s voice washes over the unengaged class lulling them even deeper into their Friday afternoon daydreams. “The ideas flow out of the writer naturally through whatever medium the writer chooses.”

“Layla? Jennifer? What are you doing?” The teacher’s deviation from the normal, monotonous drone grabs the attention of the class.
